YuJa is excited to announce the arrival of an industry-first feature, semantic topic analysis. Semantic topic analysis automatically reviews auto-captions associated with your lecture captures and creates organized categories of included information. These are tagged, sorted and placed into categories, as you can see in the screenshot here.

The Benefits of Semantic Topic Analysis

Semantic topic analysis is of the greatest benefit to students. The semantic topic analysis is visible on the video page, beneath the viewing window. In the image above, you can see that students can see the various categories included in the video, and can scroll down to see how different aspects of the video fit into these categories.

Students can use semantic topic analysis to:

  • Find desired information for study and review.
  • Organize their own study notes.
  • Think about information in new ways.
  • Make different connections between information shared in lecture capture.

Using Semantic Topic Analysis

Administrators and instructors will find semantic topic analysis practical to use–once auto-captioning is turned on, the topic analysis process is fully automated. There’s no need for instructors to make changes to the semantic topic analysis or to alter settings to incorporate it.
