Carl Sandburg College Selects YuJa Engage Student Response System to Create a More Interactive Learning Environment for Students

Carl Sandburg College, a community college that serves western and central Illinois, has expanded its suite of ed-tech tools to increase engagement across its campuses with the YuJa Engage Student Response System. The platform will be used in addition to the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform, YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform, YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform.

The college was using another engagement tool, but found that they were constrained by a licensing model that restricted the number of available licenses and seats, which hampered widespread adoption. The institution was seeking an alternative that would offer unlimited seats, a centralized support system, simplified workflows and a positive user experience. 

YuJa Engage is an LMS-integrated Student Response System that enhances classroom engagement through interactive quizzes and polls. It allows instructors to add graded or ungraded polls and surveys to courses using a variety of question types, provides real-time feedback, and works within web browsers or a mobile app. The platform also simplifies attendance tracking for classes of all sizes and offers grade book sync with Moodle, the institution’s learning management system. Instructors can break up a lecture, spur discussion, and see where knowledge gaps exist while promoting active learning.
