In order to increase accessibility compliance across its video-based content repository, New Mexico State University has selected the YuJa Lumina Video Platform after a thorough review of various video management solutions. Using a secure LTI 1.3 integration, the institution can easily incorporate YuJa Lumina into their existing learning management system (LMS) workflow, allowing instructors to automate a range of activities that would otherwise require strenuous manual remediation, such as generating captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and chapters. Now, instructors can effortlessly introduce accessible video content to the institution’s large student population of over 22,000.
YuJa Lumina will also enable faculty to incorporate interactive elements into their course delivery to facilitate student engagement and interactive feedback between peers and instructors. With a wide selection of activities like video quizzes, inline comments, and live chat, students can test their knowledge, voice concerns, ask questions, and receive curated feedback directly from the platform. Instructors can also further tailor their teaching style using YuJa Lumina’s comprehensive analytics on engagement metrics such as watch time, hot spots, and audience retention.
“We are confident that New Mexico State University can leverage YuJa Lumina’s multifaceted toolset to create an engaging and interactive media repository that is accessible for its student body,” said YuJa’s Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Arora. “Designed to support higher education institutions, YuJa Lumina is equipped to transform course accessibility by streamlining remediation workflows for video-based content.”
