Project Kitty Hawk Selects YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform to Streamline Testing for Adult Learners in North Carolina

Project Kitty Hawk (PKH), a nonprofit ed-tech startup partnering with University of North Carolina (UNC) System institutions to serve adult learners, has selected the YuJa Verity Test Proctoring Platform to enhance exam security and maintain academic integrity in online assessments. The Platform will be used alongside the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform, strengthening their commitment to providing comprehensive educational technology tools for adult learners.
“YuJa Verity provides a flexible, user-friendly solution that simplifies exam proctoring while maintaining high test integrity for adult learners who often balance work, family, and education.”
YuJa Verity enables instructors to create and administer secure proctored assessments, ensuring exam integrity with advanced features designed to prevent cheating. The platform integrates seamlessly with PKH’s multi-tenant learning management system structure and offers AI-enhanced facial recognition for ID verification, customizable flagging options, detailed reporting, and accommodations for students with various testing needs. Additionally, YuJa Verity supports third-party exam proctoring, such as certification tests and external assessments critical for workforce-aligned programs.
“YuJa Verity provides a flexible, user-friendly solution that simplifies exam proctoring while maintaining high test integrity for adult learners who often balance work, family, and education,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc. “We’re dedicated to supporting PKH’s mission of expanding high-quality adult education throughout North Carolina with tools that ensure academic rigor and student success in an asynchronous environment.”
There are 16 universities within the UNC System, as well as the NC School of Science and Mathematics, the nation’s first public residential high school for gifted students. Each institution within the UNC System can choose to partner with PKH to develop online degree programs to attract, support and retain adult learners.
