YuJa, Inc., a leader in enterprise video solutions, announces its participation in Internet2’s Cloud Scorecard, a pilot cloud services evaluation and discovery tool that helps ensure services meet higher-ed security, compliance, and technology requirements. The Cloud Scorecard enables institutions to readily discover cloud solutions and easily access vendor support in the research and education community, as well as helps facilitate decision making and procurement.

“We’re excited to see how the pilot evolves and provides institutions with a way to quickly assess and procure robust, comprehensive solutions to meet their individual needs.”

The Cloud Scorecard is the result of a NET+ Scorecard Working Group recommendation to create an evaluation tool to help research and education institutions quickly assess the degree to which cloud services meet common requirements for operating in the complex technology, security, compliance, and legal environments in R&E, according to the Internet2 website.

“When we started discussions to launch an assessment process for cloud services in late 2019, never did we imagine a global pandemic would rapidly accelerate the need for and use of cloud services on our campuses. It is our hope that the cloud scorecard will help peer institutions understand the risk profile of services already being used on campus and help assess future services reducing the workload on stakeholders like IT, procurement, individual academic departments and more,” the Working Group said when it released its final report.

YuJa prioritizes helping institutional leaders with thoughtful evaluation of its solutions to ensure the needs of the institution, instructors and students are met.

“This is just another way YuJa, Inc. is demonstrating its readiness to support rigorous and changing higher education standards for SaaS and cloud-based platforms,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc. “We’re excited to see how the pilot evolves and provides institutions with a way to quickly assess and procure robust, comprehensive solutions to meet their individual needs.”

“Internet2’s Cloud Scorecard enables institutions to manage due diligence at scale as it assesses efficacy of cloud services, helping ensure services meet common requirements for operating in the complex technology, security, compliance and legal environments of higher education. This ultimately decreases time to procurement and reduces duplication of effort,” said Sean O’Brien, Associate Vice President, NET+ Cloud Services at Internet2.
