Texas A&M University has expanded its approach to digital accessibility remediation with the addition of YuJa Structural Remediation Max. The university had already been using the YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform, which improves the accessibility of digital media and course content across its learning management system (LMS).

Texas A&M University recently selected the YuJa Structural Remediation Max module to use a blend of intelligent automation and human-centric review to transform various documents into accessible assets for their students. The institution can now automate accessibility analysis and support guided remediation workflows for complex structural issues found in documents, including PDFs, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations, helping the institution improve the accessibility of digital learning materials for more than 79,000 students.
YuJa Structural Remediation Max is an AI-powered document-remediation engine designed to transform complex documents into fully structured, accessible files. The module provides automated structural tagging, reading order optimization, bulk AI-generated alt text, intelligent OCR for scanned documents, and the ability to auto-regenerate an entire document’s structure in a single action. It also integrates directly with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for in-workflow remediation.
