Utah Education and Telehealth Network Signs Master Service Agreement That Streamlines Procurement of YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform for Institutions

The Utah Education and Telehealth Network (UETN), a facilitating consortium that purchases on behalf of Utah’s higher education institutions, has signed a master service agreement that enables institutions to purchase YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform at a predictable cost and through a simplified process. YuJa Panorama will help provide a more inclusive learning environment at institutions throughout the state.

“YuJa serves institutions of all sizes with an all-in-one accessibility platform that integrates accessibility into the creation process, so instructors can focus on teaching with confidence that students can use content in a way that meets their individual needs.”

UETN was seeking to license a comprehensive, efficient and user-friendly accessibility software that seamlessly integrates into its learning management system, Canvas. The organization outlined in its request for proposal that the platform must be fully accessible and compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, and alternative input devices and that it should support a range of file formats with the ability to convert files into accessible alternative formats. In addition, UETN wanted detailed reports on accessibility issues and trends, along with the ability to check the accessibility of all content and provide feedback on how to make content accessible to all learners, and the ability to remediate inaccessible content.

YuJa Panorama integrates directly with Canvas. It provides an accessibility gauge and enables content creators to pinpoint and correct issues as content is created. In addition, instructors will benefit from the automatic generation of accessible versions of all uploaded documents, comprehensive reports at the course, instructor, and institution levels, and other tools that help build accessibility into course creation. YuJa Panorama also provides users with an LTI app and customized website accessibility profiles that can be applied to both internal and external web pages.

“YuJa serves institutions of all sizes with an all-in-one accessibility platform that integrates accessibility into the creation process, so instructors can focus on teaching with confidence that students can use content in a way that meets their individual needs,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc. “Now, UETN institutions have the opportunity to boost accessibility of course content without a protracted procurement process. We’re excited for institutions to see the full advantages of using the YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform.”
