YuJa, Inc. a leader in cloud platforms and applications for the regulated sector, announces that the University of Boston Massachusetts (UMass Boston) has selected the YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform, YuJa Structural Remediation Max Module, and YuJa LMS Accessible Content Designer to enhance digital accessibility and create a more inclusive learning environment for its students.

“YuJa is already working with two other institutions in the University of Massachusetts System, and we’re excited to bring comprehensive accessibility tools and workflows to UMass Boston.”

With a Canvas Learning Management System migration underway, the institution was seeking a more comprehensive solution that integrates seamlessly with Canvas. YuJa Panorama is a cloud-based accessibility tool that enables remediation directly within the LMS to help ensure course content meets accessibility guidelines. Powerful remediation engines detect, prioritize, and help instructors correct inaccessible content in documents and images while advanced analytics help instructors and institutional leaders understand what students are using and what they need to be successful. Instructors and students also will benefit from the automatic generation of accessible versions of all uploaded documents, in-line remediation capabilities, and other tools that help increase accessibility for all learners. YuJa Panorama will replace the institution’s former accessibility tool.

UMass Boston will also use the YuJa Structural Remediation Max Module, an industry-first Remediation Engine that enables instructors to address complex structural issues in PDF documents, within their learning management system. The module helps instructors address common PDF accessibility issues, such as structural remediation, missing alt text, heading structures, contrast, tagging, titles, scanned document issues, and more.

The YuJa LMS Accessible Content Designer will help instructors enhance the structure, aesthetic, and usability of content in editable HTML areas of the LMS. Combined, these tools give course designers and instructors everything they need to create accessible content and detect and remediate accessibility issues from the start.

“YuJa is already working with two other institutions in the University of Massachusetts System, and we’re excited to bring comprehensive accessibility tools and workflows to UMass Boston,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc. “The institution is committed to creating an accessible digital learning environment for their students, and YuJa’s solutions will help keep accessibility at the forefront of course creation.”
