The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has adopted the YuJa AutoPilot AI Remediation Module to help make their content more accessible through automation. With this implementation, the institution can apply inclusive design principles and help remove digital barriers in their course materials.
“We are committed to supporting the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in their efforts to improve digital course accessibility.”
University of Maryland Eastern Shore, a public university in Princess Anne, Maryland, has selected YuJa AutoPilot to improve the accessibility of the institution’s learning management system (LMS). YuJa AutoPilot’s AI-powered engines can automatically detect accessibility barriers for documents and LMS content, helping make course content more compliant with accessibility standards.
YuJa AutoPilot can work across multiple courses at once to implement WCAG-informed fixes for improper heading structure, missing alternative text, small font size, and poor color contrast. The module also allows students and faculty to run YuJa AutoPilot fixes in bulk across multiple documents in their DocHub libraries, helping reduce manual remediation efforts for course documents and effectively saving time for all users in the institution.
“We are committed to supporting the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in their efforts to improve digital course accessibility,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Executive Officer at YuJa, Inc. “With the adoption of YuJa AutoPilot, the institution will be able to reduce manual remediation steps for faculty while supporting more consistent alignment with WCAG, ADA and Section 508 standards.”
With the implementation of YuJa AutoPilot, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore is strengthening its approach to digital accessibility across its campus.
