Walters State Community College, part of the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system, has selected the YuJa Panorama Digital Accessibility Platform and Website Accessibility Widget to strengthen digital accessibility in its learning environment and across its public-facing website. YuJa’s solutions replace the institution’s former accessibility tool, which lacked innovation and intuitive workflows for instructors and course creators to build accessibility in during the content creation process.

Institutional leaders were seeking a more comprehensive, user-friendly solution to ensure both instructors and students could access and create accessible content across the college’s four campuses and additional facilities. With the previous tool, faculty members were manually remediating documents outside of the learning management system. With YuJa Panorama integrated directly into D2L Brightspace, instructors will now have tools to identify, remediate, and improve course content accessibility at the point of creation. YuJa Panorama also provides Walters State’s nearly 6,000 students with on-demand alternative formats, a document accessibility gauge, and options for accessible math, image, and PDF content.
In addition, YuJa’s Website Accessibility Widget will help ensure that online visitors can engage fully with the institution’s digital resources.The widget allows users to adjust the appearance of web pages using tools to adjust visual settings, focus and cognitive tools, add predefined accessibility profiles, and access document format options when it’s paired with YuJa Panorama.
