Beyond Compliance — Transforming Digital Accessibility

YuJa representatives Jay Kim, YuJa’s Director of Sales and Danny Tran, Account Executive will present “Panorama: Beyond Compliance — Transforming Digital Accessibility,” Thursday, August 14, at noon eastern as part of Workshop 11

This session offers a hands-on demonstration of YuJa Panorama, a digital accessibility platform that transforms how institutions support inclusive learning. Designed for seamless LMS integration and WCAG 2.2 compliance, YuJa Panorama automatically identifies and remediates inaccessible course materials while providing students with immediate alternative formats.

Attendees will explore key features such as OCR for scanned and handwritten content, inline remediation tools, and institutional analytics. This session is ideal for educators, instructional designers, and academic leaders looking to scale accessibility efforts without placing additional burdens on faculty. Join us to learn how Panorama supports sustainable, student-centered digital pedagogy across disciplines.

“The themes and conversations we’ll be having at this year’s DPI conference reflect the challenges we address daily,” Kim said. “Creating inclusive, compliant digital learning environments is at the core of our mission, and we’re excited to share what we’ve learned and how innovative solutions we get to work on are propelling digital education forward.”

About the Conference

Founded in 2014, the Digital Pedagogy Institute represents a unique collaboration focused on the innovative use of digital technologies to enhance and transform undergraduate and graduate teaching and learning.

Now in its 11th year, the conference welcomes faculty, researchers, graduate students, educational developers, librarians, and other post-secondary personnel through keynote addresses, presentations, workshops, and digital tool training.

The event has several themes around the state of digital pedagogy education, collaborations, best practices, and innovative new uses for traditional digital tools.

Five streams will address key challenges in digital education:

  • Digital Pedagogy and Emerging Technologies: This stream will explore how new technologies like AI and immersive learning tools are changing higher education, examining both opportunities and challenges they present for teaching and learning.
  • Critical Digital Pedagogy and the Post-Truth Society: This will address the growing difficulty of identifying reliable information online, focusing on how educators can help students develop digital literacy skills and navigate misinformation.
  • Digital (De)colonialism: The third stream examines how digital tools and teaching methods can support anti-racist and decolonization efforts in curriculum and research, sharing practical approaches and lessons learned.
  • Inclusivity, Accessibility, and Digital Pedagogy: This stream is focused on breaking down barriers to learning through digital tools and will share strategies for creating more inclusive educational experiences that work for all students.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility: This stream tackles the environmental impact of digital education technologies, exploring how institutions can balance technological innovation with environmental stewardship.
