Cape Fear Community College Adopts the Structural Remediation Tools to Accelerate PDF Accessibility Compliance

North Carolina’s Cape Fear Community College has expanded its accessibility toolset with the addition of the YuJa Structural Remediation Max Module, which complements the YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform. YuJa Panorama and the YuJa Structural Remediation Max Module work together to help course designers and instructors detect and remediate accessibility issues in PDFs and other documents as they align content with compliance standards.
“Educational institutions of all sizes are recognizing that creating an accessible digital environment requires specialized tools that address the challenges instructors face daily.”
The YuJa Structural Remediation Max Module is an industry-first Remediation Engine that enables instructors to address more complex structural PDF accessibility issues within their learning management system. The platform helps instructors address common PDF accessibility issues, such as structural remediation, missing alt text, heading structures, contrast, tagging, titles, scanned document issues, and more. The integration provides a user-friendly workflow for faculty to identify, prioritize, and address accessibility barriers in their existing course materials to improve the learning experience.
“Educational institutions of all sizes are recognizing that creating an accessible digital environment requires specialized tools that address the challenges instructors face daily,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Executive Officer at YuJa, Inc. “The Structural Remediation Max Module helps with these challenges by providing a one-click solution to solve many common PDF accessibility barriers. By adding the module, the college is further showing its commitment to digital accessibility for all learners.”
