University of Detroit Mercy Selects YuJa Engage Student Response Platform to Enhance Student Interactivity and Engagement Campuswide

Michigan’s largest and most comprehensive Catholic university, the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM), has selected the YuJa Engage Student Response System to boost engagement and interactivity with course materials. The Platform will be used alongside the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform, which UDM adopted several years ago.

The institution was using numerous other engagement tools but found that they needed an all-in-one solution that could be used campuswide and that didn’t require students to pay additional subscription fees to use the service. YuJa Engage was designed to increase classroom interactivity with polls that integrate various question types, like multiple choice, short answer, true or false, and more, into their course material. The Platform enables instructors to add graded or ungraded polls and surveys to their courses with real-time feedback, gradebook sync with the Blackboard Learning Management System, and attendance tracking. It also enables students to participate in polls from their desktop, laptop, or mobile device.
