George Mason University Selects YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility and Structural Remediation Platforms to Enhance Accessibility for More than 40,000 Students

Virginia’s most diverse public research university, George Mason University, has selected the YuJa Panorama LMS Accessibility Platform and YuJa Structural Remediation Max Platform to help instructors create and deliver accessible content to its more than 40,000 students.
“YuJa’s platforms are designed to be paired with major LMS platforms, which creates a more innovative and efficient approach to helping instructors ensure content accessibility.”
The institution recently transitioned to the Canvas Learning Management System and was seeking an accessibility platform that would integrate seamlessly while providing robust accessibility workflows, ease of use for instructors and students, and continued innovation. YuJa Panorama provides a comprehensive digital accessibility solution that enables instructors to create, review, and enhance the accessibility of course materials. During a trial of the platform, features such as in-line remediation, the ability to correct accessibility issues in the Canvas window, and a variety of alternative formats stood out to institutional leaders. Instructors also will benefit from real-time suggestions, an accessible DocHub for file storage, comprehensive reports at the course, instructor, and institution levels, and other tools that help build accessibility into course creation.
In addition to the accessibility tools offered in YuJa Panorama, the institution will use the YuJa Structural Remediation Max Platform, an industry-first Remediation Engine that enables instructors to address complex PDF accessibility issues directly within their LMS workflows. The platform helps instructors tackle common accessibility challenges, including structural remediation, missing alt text, heading structures, contrast, tagging, titles, and scanned document issues. Working alongside YuJa Panorama, this solution helps course designers and instructors detect and remediate accessibility issues as they work to bring content into alignment with W3C and WCAG standards while reducing the manual effort required for accessibility compliance.
“YuJa’s platforms are designed to be paired with major LMS platforms, which creates a more innovative and efficient approach to helping instructors ensure content accessibility,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa, Inc. “We’re excited for George Mason University instructors and students to see and experience the benefits of YuJa’s combined platforms firsthand.”
