Shortly after SIUE upgraded from its in-house platform to the new solution, the company announced it was discontinuing its education product. SIUE had a tight timeframe to select and launch a new video content management system. Ease of use for all users was critical because of the “complex timeframe.”
Dunn said that he found YuJa’s platform easy to learn, its staff easy to work with, and the onboarding process smooth. “YuJa just makes sense. We’ve been impressed by how easy it is and how good the support is. It is a great platform that has suited our needs well.
In addition to LMS integration, YuJa’s suite of ed-tech products works well with Antelope Valley College’s existing hardware and software. The institution has some classrooms with Extron hardware, which YuJa integrates with, and uses desktop software capture as well.
NC Virtual teachers use the latest technologies to engage students as well as prepare them to be career and college ready. Five years ago, the institution deployed the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform for video content management, flipped classroom creation, lecture capture, and live streaming Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) courses.
The institution’s tech team has been impressed not only with the Video Platform, but with YuJa’s ongoing total user support.
We found YuJa to be incredibly responsive to our requests, willing to add new features, and able to meet the needs we have in recording and placing videos into our courses.
Coastal Carolina University launched YuJa’s Media Platform at the start of the Fall 2021 semester. Since its launch, the most heavily used features have been interactive quizzing – which is used in online and face-to-face courses, as well as in the Moodle learning management system environment – and captioning.
The core functions of YuJa’s Video Platform – media creation, storage and management – remain widely used at Endicott College, but as the institution evolves and needs change, YuJa has been able to keep pace.
We looked at a lot of different products, but YuJa was the most flexible. It can be used for all types of digital assets and as a database for those assets,” Morris said, adding that each course has a data cap, prompting instructors to be mindful of their usage.
When we adopted YuJa, we had no idea the students would develop a radio station and use this technology to stream to the college community, which was well out of the scope of expectations.
YuJa is easy to use for both students and staff, who are able to successfully upload video using a variety of devices.
The university has installed lecture capture in video hybrid flexible (hyflex) classrooms for faculty to capture activity from multiple inputs. YuJa also helped the institution solve where to put student-owned video content, as storage within third party services can pose security and privacy issues.
