Over the next few weeks, we’ll update YuJa EqualGround with new features and capabilities. Key updates include the launch of our brand-new YuJa EqualGround SharePoint Integration Module, the ability to upload sitemaps or CSV files to organize and scan specific web pages, automatically assign users to groups using Azure Entra ID and SSO, and so much more.

1. Introducing the YuJa EqualGround SharePoint Integration Module!

   Accessibility is now built directly into your SharePoint workflow. With YuJa EqualGround’s new SharePoint Integration Module, you can now bring accessibility scanning to where your content already lives, without the need to switch platforms. This module gives you the power to scan your sites and document libraries directly from within SharePoint. With on-demand and Bulk Sync support for full library scanning, and Accessibility Reports to track remediation, you’ll now have full control over your sites and content, helping you ensure compliance while saving time.

   

2. Upload Sitemaps or CSV Files to Organize and Scan Specific Web Pages

   You can now upload an XML sitemap or CSV file, and EqualGround will use it to find and scan the specified web pages. Instead of adding a website and automatically scanning all the pages, you can now organize and define exactly which pages to include. This makes it easy to organize the web pages you want scanned, focus on the important content, and keep track of your scans more efficiently.

   

3. Automatically Assign Users to Groups using Azure Entra ID and SSO

   New users can now be automatically placed into the right groups based on their roles or department when they log in through your single sign-on (SSO) system with Azure Entra ID and SCIM integration. For example, all new marketing team members from your organization can be instantly added to the EqualGround Marketing group, while the instructors join the EqualGround Instructors group. This feature gets new users organized into EqualGround right away, speeds up onboarding, and frees administrators from time-consuming manual tasks.

   

4. Redesigned Issues Panel for Faster Accessibility Reviews

   The EqualGround Issues Panel has been redesigned to help you review and solve accessibility issues more quickly and efficiently. You can now move through issue instances using simple arrow buttons while still viewing each issue directly on the web page, so you never lose context. All key information is presented in one place, including Issue Details, Why This Matters, and How to Fix, helping you understand your issues and take action faster. You also have a direct link to the YuJa Accessibility Guide, jumping directly to the section that explains each issue.

   

5. Improved Role and Team Management Experience

   EqualGround now offers an improved Role Management experience designed to make organizing your users and teams more intuitive. The enhanced workflow lets you easily create roles, build teams, add users, and assign the right access to each group. This new workflow gives you clear control over who can access specific websites and creates a faster, more efficient onboarding experience. We have also refreshed the team invitation email, making it more user-friendly so new users can join your EqualGround teams more effortlessly.

6. “New” Badge Highlights Recently Added Web Pages

   When reviewing web pages in EqualGround, you can now quickly spot the most recently added web pages highlighted with a “New” badge. The badge appears for three days after a new web page is added to EqualGround, or whenever newer pages are added, helping you easily identify newly added content so you can prioritize what to scan next.

   

7. Quickly Add Multiple Team Members with CSV Upload

   You can now add multiple team members at once through CSV file upload. When adding a new group of users, you can quickly add everyone to the right EqualGround team without entering each user manually. Once the team is set up, you can immediately assign website access and roles to all or selected team members, saving time and ensuring your teams are fully organized and ready to start.

   

8. Enhanced Text Search with Regex

   You can use regex options when creating a policy rule. Previously, EqualGround could find specific content, media, or documents based on elements, file type, and other criteria for websites. With the new regex capability, the EqualGround search engine can now find specific sequences of letters and symbols when making text related policies, giving you more flexibility and precision in your website searches.

   

9. Discover Important Announcements and Insights With New Event Banners

   Administrators can now view event banners directly within EqualGround, keeping your team informed about important announcements and upcoming webinar opportunities. Designed with your workflow in mind, these banners help you discover new features, learn shortcuts to boost efficiency, and stay ahead of industry trends. You can navigate between banners using the arrow buttons or dismiss them for the current session. All of this can be done without leaving the page, giving you useful updates without interrupting your work.

   

10. Personalize Your DocHub Experience

    EqualGround has upgraded DocHub to make managing your files and accessibility reports easier than ever. You can now customize the DocHub name in the sidebar to match your branding or make it clearer for your team. This simple change makes a big difference, helping you quickly find and access DocHub while keeping your workspace aligned with your organization’s needs.

    

11. Subscribe to Scheduled Scan Reports to Stay on Top of Key Insights

    You can now subscribe to receive daily, weekly, or monthly reports for accessibility, SEO, documents, performance, or usability. Once subscribed, the reports are delivered straight to your inbox on your chosen schedule, without having to manually check each report page. This way, you can save time while staying on top of important insights and trends in your scans.

    

This week, we’ll be updating YuJa EqualGround with new features and capabilities. 1. New SharePoint Add-In for Deeper Site and Document Library Integration

   The new Microsoft SharePoint integration enables faster, simpler, and more efficient scanning and management of your SharePoint sites and document libraries. You will be able to focus more on accessibility fixes instead of administrative tasks. Key features include:

   • Time-Saving Full Access: Once you grant EqualGround one-time permission to scan all your SharePoint sites and document libraries, you no longer need to approve each one individually before scanning.

   • Simplified Management: You can add multiple SharePoint sites and document libraries under the same Microsoft account for faster setup and to keep everything organized in one place.

   • Automatic Syncing: Once enabled, any new page you add to your SharePoint will be automatically included in your next scan without any extra setup.

   

2. Custom Scan Scheduling for Websites and Page Groups

   You can now schedule scans with much more flexibility, such as every 3 days, 5 days, or any number of days, weeks, months, or years, for specific page groups or entire websites. Automating your scan schedule to match how often you update your content ensures new content is automatically checked for accessibility issues, instead of having to manually initiate scans after each update.

   

3. A New Guided Experience for Setting Up Your EqualGround Platform

   As a first-time user, you can now start with our Quick Setup Guide, which walks you through the essential steps to ensure your EqualGround Platform is set up correctly. The guide shows you how to add websites and ensure your integrations are up and running. Any user new to EqualGround can quickly set up and start scanning pages and documents with confidence. You can access the Quick Setup Guide anytime from your profile icon.

   

4. Add Specific Web Pages to Your Website Scans

   Add specific web pages on demand to improve scan coverage across your websites. This allows you to include web pages that aren’t in your navigation or sitemap, such as launch pages, campaign content, and microsites, ensuring EqualGround can generate more accurate reports for your websites. Additionally, these web pages can also be scanned independently of your website, allowing you to focus on areas that need attention.

   

5. Disable Web Page Scans as Needed

   Disable scans for low-priority web pages to focus on what matters. Skip routine checks for content that rarely changes, like policies, archived sections, or duplicate templates, so you can prioritize high-impact web pages and keep reports cleaner and more actionable.

   

6. Bulk Scan Multiple Web Pages at Once

   Managing large websites with hundreds of pages is now easier. Building on our existing bulk website scanning feature, you can now select and scan multiple web pages at once to save time and optimize accessibility audits for large websites. Instead of manually selecting each web page you want to scan, you can complete one scan for all the web pages at once.

   

7. Enhanced Filtering Options for Web Pages

   You can now filter web pages by accessibility, SEO, performance, usability, and document scores, showing only those that are in the specified range. You can also filter web pages by their scan status, such as showing only pages with completed scans. With these filters, you can spend less time searching for the web pages you want and more time improving your web page issues and review process.

   

8. Export a Report of Documents Found on Your Websites

   Export an Excel report of your scanned website documents to take on the go for offline viewing. See accessibility scores and issue counts at a glance to spot patterns, prioritize fixes, and share improvements with external users.

We’ll be rolling out updates to all YuJa EqualGround Accessibility Governance Platform instances over the next few weeks. This release introduces comprehensive asset tracking through the new Inventory tab, enhanced Policy Engine capabilities with complex rule logic and streamlined website assignment, and improved issue management with visual badges for new problems and detailed fix explanations.

1. New Inventory Tab Provides Comprehensive Asset Tracking Across Website Pages

   Organizations will now be able to monitor all web assets, including images, videos, CSS files, and JavaScript resources, through the new Inventory tab, which automatically catalogs every asset discovered during website scans. Administrators can expand table rows to view exactly which pages contain specific resources, helping teams maintain better oversight of their digital assets and identify optimization opportunities.

   

2. The Policy Engine Will Support Complex Rule Logic

   YuJa EqualGround’s Policy Engine will enable administrators to create content detection rules using flexible AND/OR logic connectors when combining criteria, with a visual logic preview showing how the implemented conditions will function during scans.

   

3. Enhanced Policy-to-Website Assignment Streamlines Workflow Management

   Administrators will be able to link policies to specific websites through an intuitive interface that pre-populates available sites and includes search functionality for quick selection. The enhanced workflow includes table-based management and a review page to confirm policy assignments, creating a more streamlined experience for managing policy applications across multiple websites.

   

4. Distinguish New Issues from Previously Detected Problems with Visual Badges

   Accessibility issues that are discovered during scans now display a “New” badge to help administrators differentiate fresh problems from previously identified issues.

   

5. Expanded Issue Explanations Clarify Accessibility Fix Requirements

   Proposed fixes for accessibility issues will now include detailed “Why This Matters” explanations and specific WCAG references to help administrators understand the importance and compliance requirements of each issue.

   

6. Identify New and Modified Content with Enhanced Page Tracking

   Web page and document tables now include a Date Added column that identifies newly discovered content and previously scanned pages with recent modifications, so administrators can focus their accessibility reviews on fresh content and updated pages that may require immediate attention.

   

7. Exclude Cookie Popups from Accessibility Issue Detection

   YuJa EqualGround can now automatically dismiss cookie consent pop-ups to ensure accessibility issues are only detected within the actual website content.

   

8. Score Calculation Breakdowns Provide Details for Accessibility, Metrics

   Administrators will be able to view comprehensive calculation breakdowns for accessibility scores through expandable category sections that display total checks performed, severity distributions, and occurrence counts. Each organization has unique requirements for how accessibility issues should be weighted and scored, and detailed breakdowns help teams understand how YuJa EqualGround’s customizable scoring models align with their specific priorities and institutional standards.

   

9. Control Dynamic URL Scanning During Website Crawls

   Administrators can now choose whether to include URLs with query parameters during website crawling. This toggle helps organizations manage crawl scope by focusing on static pages or including dynamically generated content based on their specific scanning needs.

   

10. Bulk Scanning Will Be Available for Multiple Page Groups

    Organizations can now select and scan multiple page groups simultaneously, eliminating the need to initiate individual scans for each group. The enhanced interface maintains the “Scan” option when multiple groups are selected, streamlining accessibility assessment workflows for websites with complex organizational structures.

    

11. Access Historical Usage Reports Directly in the Admin Portal

    Administrators will be able to access all previous monthly usage email reports within YuJa EqualGround’s admin portal and receive an automatic pop-up with the latest usage data on their first login each month.

1. The EqualGround Website Accessibility Widget is Now Available Organizations will now be able to deploy EqualGround’s Website Accessibility Widget directly on their websites, enabling visitors to customize content display and color adjustments to improve readability and viewability. Users will have access to predefined accessibility profiles or they can create and personalized profiles that will automatically apply to future visits. The draggable widget interface ensures convenient access without disrupting site design. The widget will also identify and provide alternative format options for documents found on web pages, creating a comprehensive accessibility solution for all site visitors.
2. EqualGround WebFlow Accessibility Module Now Available A new EqualGround module will support web app scanning, including for single-page applications. The module will offer:
   • Real-time accessibility checking for web applications as users interact with dynamic content
   • Workflow recording capabilities to identify issues across every state and user journey within applications
   • Automated scheduled replay scans for routine accessibility monitoring without manual intervention
   • Complete reporting functionality similar to website scanning, ensuring full visibility into accessibility compliance across interactive experiences
3. TYPO3 Plugin Now Available for Direct CMS Integration YuJa EqualGround will offer a new plugin for TYPO3, a popular open-source content management system, which will provide seamless access to accessibility scanning directly within the TYPO3 backend. This will enable content creators to identify and address issues without disrupting their workflow.
4. Monthly Usage Reports Will Be Automatically Emailed to Platform Administrators Administrators will receive automated monthly email reports highlighting platform usage and trends. Emails will provide administrators with at-a-glance insights into platform performance and user engagement.
5. Comprehensive Audit Log Provides Daily Activity Reports Administrators will gain access to a detailed audit log that tracks and categorizes all platform activities within their organization through a dedicated activity sidebar. The system will generate comprehensive daily reports showing key metrics and events, while advanced filtering capabilities will enable quick searches for specific website activities or disabled sites.
6. New Document Issues Report to Provide Organization-Wide Accessibility Oversight Users will gain access to a comprehensive Document Issues Report that provides visibility into accessibility problems across all documents at the organization, website, and individual webpage levels. The new issues tab will follow the familiar format of existing SEO reports, making it easy to search and navigate document-specific accessibility concerns.
7. Flexible Scoring Models Enable Customized Accessibility Assessments Administrators will be able to choose from a variety of scoring rubrics to align accessibility scoring with their organization’s specific standards and priorities. Each model will allow for weight adjustments and custom issue severity settings to help ensure scores reflect what matters most to individual institutions.
8. Streamlined SEO Issue Resolution with Automated Fix Proposals Users will be able to access “Propose Fix” functionality for all SEO issues identified during website scans, matching the remediation capabilities already available for accessibility concerns. This enhancement will provide instant, actionable solutions for SEO problems, enabling web teams to resolve issues quickly without requiring specialized technical expertise.
9. Integrated Marketplace Access for Enhanced Platform Capabilities With this update, users will gain access to an integrated marketplace for seamless browsing and selection of additional tools and services.
10. Institution-Level DocHub Folder Management and Default Settings Administrators will now be able to configure default folder structures at the institution level within DocHub, ensuring consistent document organization across all users. New users will automatically inherit these predefined folder settings, while administrators retain the ability to add and delete folders as organizational needs evolve.
11. Permanent User Deletion Added for Streamlined Roster Management Administrators will be able to permanently delete users from the platform both through bulk selection checkboxes and individual action menus within the roster management interface.
12. Simplified Team and Role Management Administrators will benefit from a streamlined two-step team configuration process that separates member selection from access management, enhanced team overview with total website access counts, and improved user creation with team assignment and duplicate email validation. The redesigned role management features unique name validation and streamlined filter interfaces for more straightforward navigation.
13. Quarterly NPS Survey Will Collect Administrator Feedback Administrators will receive a quarterly Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey to gather feedback on platform satisfaction and administrative experience. This will help improve YuJa EqualGround based on direct administrator input.

We have successfully pushed an update to all YuJa EqualGround Accessibility Governance Platform instances residing in the US, Canada, Australia, and the European Union. Introducing EqualGround Workflow Orchestration Module Teams can now streamline accessibility projects with the new Workflow Orchestration module, which enables project creation, task assignment, and team collaboration directly within EqualGround. Users are automatically prompted to create their first project upon login, while administrators can seamlessly sync organization users with roster management and assign tasks to team members for coordinated accessibility remediation efforts.
2. Streamlined Scanning Interface with Unified Progress Views The website scanning experience now features a standardized interface that provides clear visual feedback throughout the entire accessibility assessment process, from initial crawling to scan completion. Users can easily track progress whether initiating new scans or reviewing scan history, with consistent loading states and real-time status indicators that eliminate confusion about scanning workflows.
3. Enhanced Issue Navigation Across All Report Types EqualGround now provides comprehensive drill-down capabilities across Accessibility, SEO, and Usability reports, allowing users to seamlessly navigate from organization-wide issue summaries to specific affected websites and individual pages. This approach replaces the previous standalone Issue Report with integrated analytics that enable teams to quickly identify problem areas, click through to detailed views, and access the issue panel for immediate remediation guidance across all scanning engines.
4. Flexible SSO Role Mapping Configuration SSO integration now includes an optional toggle for role mapping functionality, recognizing that most campus authentication systems don’t provide role information during login. This update removes the previous requirement for role mapping configuration, allowing institutions to set up SSO authentication seamlessly regardless of their system’s capabilities.
5. Manual Issue Dismissal for Accessibility Reviews Accessibility scanning now allows users to manually dismiss and restore detected issues, providing flexibility for content that requires human evaluation beyond automated detection. When an issue is dismissed, it will no longer appear in the issue panel, enabling teams to focus on actionable items while maintaining the ability to restore previously dismissed issues as needed.
6. Improved Team Creation Interface The Create Team modal now features an improved design with streamlined user selection capabilities. Users can easily check multiple team members and transfer them between available and selected user lists, making team setup more intuitive.
7. Automatic Team Assignment Through SSO Integration SSO configuration now supports custom team attributes, enabling automatic user assignment to specific teams during login based on information from your authentication system. If no team attribute is provided or the specified team doesn’t exist in EqualGround, users will automatically be assigned to the default team to ensure seamless access while maintaining organizational structure.
8. Direct CMS Remediation Integration for Drupal EqualGround now offers seamless integration with Drupal websites, allowing users to navigate directly from detected accessibility issues to their CMS editing interface for immediate remediation.
9. Customizable WCAG Guidelines and Issue Management Organizations can now select their preferred WCAG version (2.0, 2.1, or 2.2) in website settings, with each version including all guidelines from previous versions for comprehensive compliance tracking. Additionally, the new Issue Settings feature allows administrators to disable specific checkers within each report category to provide tailored scanning.
