SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–YuJa, a leader in enterprise video solutions, formally announces today its completion of the System and Organization (SOC) for Services Organizations (SOC 2) Type II report for its cloud-hosted media solutions. The SOC 2 Type II standards help vendors recognize and establish cross-functional value within their organization.
“Earning the SOC 2 Type II certification provides our clients with the confidence that the data controls that we implement to ensure data security and privacy are in line with industry standards and best practices”
Established by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 defines the criteria for managing customer data based on trust service principles. SOC 2 engagements are performed in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) AT-C 205, Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization. YuJa’s audit was completed by Cyberguard Compliance, a global provider of attestation and compliance services.
While SOC 2 compliance is not required for SaaS-based and cloud computing vendors, the successful certification of SOC 2 compliance plays a vital role in securing customer data. “Earning the SOC 2 Type II certification provides our clients with the confidence that the data controls that we implement to ensure data security and privacy are in line with industry standards and best practices,” said Nathan Arora, Chief Business Officer at YuJa Inc.
